Custom blocks are a great way to add 3rd party links and embeds to your projects. Link and embed blocks can be used in many ways. For example,

  • Add a link to a Notion project timetable

  • Embed Figma designs

  • Embed a Clickup or Monday task list

  • Embed a Calendly scheduling form

  • Add links to client downloads

  • Embed a Youtube Video

  • Add Google Drive or Dropbox links

  • Much more

Supported types

There are 3 different ways you can add 3rd party content to Bloom.

1. Link URL(s)

This block will include any number of links that you need to make available for yourself or your clients.

2. Embed Code

This block allows you to embed content from other sources, which is especially helpful if you need to add more intricate workflows, notes, or tasks.

Many platforms, like ClickUp, allow you to generate an embed code and embed it into Bloom.

If you'd like to display a Notion document, you will need to generate an embed code using a third party platform like Embed Notion or Embed Notion Pages.

3. Link URL in an iframe

The iframe block allows you to add a website URL and have it displayed inside your and your client's portal.

Keep in mind that this feature only works if the provided website does not block iframe sharing.

You can also choose to expand the blocks to be full width and adjust their height to ensure that your embedded content shows up how you need it.

Adjustment options

After a custom block is added, you can adjust how you want it to be displayed:

  • Full width

  • Column width

  • Custom height

Important note

Embed codes generated by 3rd party applications can be displayed in different ways. Sometimes the embed code restricts the width of the container.

To overcome this, adjust the height and/or width to "100%"

Use case: How to embed a Figma design

1. Click on "Share" in Figma

2. Get and copy the embed code

3. Add a new "Links and Embeds" to your project

4. Paste the embed code

5. Adjust the embed code width to "100%"

6. Save and enjoy
